Concordia University Wisconsin’s Chamber Music Series is proud to present the critically acclaimed group, The Lee Trio, in concert.
Orchestral music enthusiasts in the North Shore region and beyond now have a rare opportunity to experience in person this world-renowned group, along with accomplished musicians from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
The concert will take place in Concordia’s Chapel of Christ Triumphant and will feature both classical and contemporary works of historically celebrated composers, including a Midwest premiere performance of Co Bůh? Člověk? (What is God? Man?) for soprano, clarinet, cello and piano by Jacob Beranek and a World premiere performance of Songs of Consolation for Soprano and Piano Trio by David Conte
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
The Lee Trio
Since its critically acclaimed Wigmore Hall debut in 2002, The Lee Trio's "gripping immediacy and freshness" and "rich palette of tone colours" [The Strad] continue to move audiences and critics around the globe. The Trio's awards include the Recording Prize at the Kuhmo International Chamber Music Competition in Finland, 2nd Prize in the G. Zinetti International Chamber Competition in Italy, and the Gotthard-Schierse-Stiftung grant in Berlin for rising international artists. In recent seasons, the Trio has given recitals and masterclasses in cities from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, San Francisco, New York and Toronto to London, Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris and Kiev.
Tickets are $10 for students with ID (click on "Have a passcode?" below and enter your full F00 #), $25 for all other guests. Please purchase tickets before the concert, or be prepared to use a credit/debit card at the ticket table on the night of the performance.
Our program will be available printed or digitally. It will be accessible by QR code scanning during the night of the concert.
Concert Entrance: From the main CUW entrance on Highland Rd, turn right. Please park in Lot A or B. Due to Campus Safety protocols, patrons are directed to the Luther (Administration) entrance. Those needing to drop off guests close to the entrance should utilize the circle driveway at the Luther entrance. From there, posted signs will guide you to the Chapel. Wheelchairs will be available for use by patrons with limited mobility. Parking Lot C and the Katherine Hall entrance will no longer be available.
